Introduction:
 The word institutional planning is a combination of
two words:

Institutional Planning
Meaning of institution:
• Institution means a business organization, a school,
college or a coaching center.
• They are established for a particular purpose.
• But today here we will study about school as an
institution.

• School is a place of learning that is established to give


knowledge to the learners and work for their over all
development.
Meaning of planning:

Planning is deciding in advance:


• What to do?
• When to do?
• How to do?
• Who will do a particular task?
MEANING OF INSTITUTIONAL PLANNING
Institutional planning is a plan of action undertaken by the
educational institution.
• It is a layout made by the school for bringing improvement
in its working.
• It is based on the principle of optimum utilization of the
resources available in the school and the community

• Stock includes qualified staff, playground, lab, sports room
etc.
• A proper time table is set out to utilize all these things.
• No class should be away from the benefits of these things.

• Educational plan should be flexible,

• If plan is rigid then there is no
benefit of such plan.
• So plan is to be made in such a way
