Why are Basics Facilities Important?

• Apart from the presence of the unique features

that attract people to the destination, basic
facilities contribute to the overall travel
experience.

• A visitor center should be provided with at least

basic comfortable facilities.

• We aim not only a one time visit but to repeat their

visit. In addition to promote the attraction area to
others - This will ease the management task for
promotion.
The result: Popular area + many people come + community household income increases
Implications???

Efficient knowledge transfer is a prerequisite for innovation and community

competitiveness to manage and create activities that can generate sustainable socio-
economics.

The project will lead to the increased popularity of the tagal fish and
increase number of tourists to visit the area and benefit from the
experience.
To ensure that the project has the desired impact, an
assessment of the existing facilities prior to the
implementation of the project should be conducted,
proper maintenance should be planned, and adequate
resources should be made available.
Generate Income through Conservation???

• The Tagal system is a system that has been practiced by

the community since generations as a tradition where No
Fishing Zone is established and will only be harvested
together by the community groups involved at times that
have been set and agreed upon among the members.
• This sustainable traditional practice indirectly practices
a system of protecting and conserve river resources and
environmental ecosystem health.
• The uniqueness of this practice received interest from
society and become one of the ecotourism attraction.

What make a Knowledge Transfer Project Success

Carrying out projects that are of

interest or requested by the
community. However, we can
introduce other ideas with facts and
evidence that can convince people.

It is impossible to implement a knowledge transfer project to the

Community if they are not interested in the transferred knowledge
