• If we have F2F teaching, we can go out and have a lunch together.
But that is quite unfortune for this semester.
• If you are really interested in philosophy, maybe we can form a study
circle after this semester.
Rules
• Grouping: we have to decide who is your group mate before the end this
lesson.
• The presentation order would be arranged by lottery (breaking rooms)
• At least 3 people to form a group
• You must come up with a topic that is about a general introduction/particular
topic/an article of a philosopher by yourself.
• The length of a presentation is about 20 mins
• We will have a Q&A session after the presentation. Students are required to
express your view during session.
• For those who are active speakers could have better score for that including the
student not in the presentation group.
Attitude
• Everyone is free to express your view, and you are required to do that in tutorial class.
• You need to cite reference in your presentation, to let other people know where does
your claim from. It is a matter of fairness.
• And it is a good chance for other people to criticize whether your interpretation is
accurate or not (criticism essential in philosophizing)
• Arguing for a better explanation of a classics is a good thing in philosophy. It is an
attitude to pursuit a better objective truth.
• Please don’t feel bad if other people suggest another explanation. Don’t take it as
personal. We’re here searching for truth instead of doing verbal attack against others.
• If you want to show an alter explanation, please provide textual evidence or solid
argument in your claim. And please, you can be polite if you have another suggestions.
