INFRASTRUCTURE AND
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITION
BEFORE SELECTING
EQUIPMENT/INSTRUMENT
Facility infrastructure and environmental conditions play an
important role in selecting equipment or instruments for a
particular application. The following are some of the ways in
which facility infrastructure and environmental conditions
can impact the selection process:
1. Power supply: The availability and quality of power supply
can impact the performance and reliability of equipment or
instruments. For example, sensitive equipment such as
laboratory instruments may require a stable power supply to
function properly.
2. Environmental conditions: Environmental conditions such as
temperature, humidity, and air quality can impact the accuracy
and precision of equipment or instruments. For example, some
instruments may require specific temperature and humidity
ranges to operate correctly.
3. Space and layout: The size and layout of the facility can
impact the selection of equipment or instruments. For example,
large equipment may require a spacious facility with adequate
ventilation.
4. Safety requirements: The safety requirements of the facility can impact the
selection of equipment or instruments. For example, hazardous materials may
require specialized equipment that is designed to handle them safely.
5. Maintenance requirements: The maintenance requirements of equipment or
instruments should be considered before making a selection. For example,
equipment that requires frequent maintenance may not be suitable for a facility
with limited maintenance resources.
In summary, facility infrastructure and environmental conditions should be
considered before selecting of equipment and instruments to ensure that they are
suitable for the intended application and can perform reliably over time.
