ASSESSMENT is the gathering of evidence from a range of sources,
and frequently more than one type of evidence is used to fairly and
reliably determine competence of evidence in determining trainees’
current competency, there are factors that need consideration. These
factors include:
The authenticity of the evidence. That is, that it actually relates to the
performance of the person being assessed, and not that of another
person.
Sufficiency of the evidence to demonstrate competency
1. The trainer can call or personally ask for confirmation from the
signatories of the certificate issued by a company or an industry.
In reviewing the documents submitted by the trainee, the following
should be considered:
Authenticity of the document
Date acquired
Standing of the company/ employer who issued the certificate
For submitted projects/videos/photos:
1. Self-assessment checklist
2. Validation of Competency evidences
3. Identifying Training Gaps
4. Training needs
All of these forms should be based from the training
regulations and your students.
