Note: We add –s to the third person singular (he, she, it)

1. As a general rule, we add –s to the end of
the verbs in the third person singular.
Examples: eat →eats; sit→sits;
talk→talks
2. If the verb ends in –s, -ss, -sh, -ch, -x, -z,
-o →we add –es
Examples: miss →misses; push
→pushes; watch →watches; fix →fixes;
do → does; go → goes; buzz → buzzes.
3. If the verbs end in consonante + -y →
change –y to –i and add –es.
Examples: study → studies; fly →flies

4. If the verbs end in vocal + y →we only add

–s (do not change the –y)
Examples: play →plays
