MARTIAL ARTS are fighting techniques that
help us to develop the skills of self defence.

It requires a lot of practice, discipline and skill.

It builds skill like agility, self-discipline and


concentration.
TRADITIONAL GAMES
Kalaripayattu is an Indian martial art
and fighting technique that originated
in Kerala.

Kushti or Pehalwani is an ancient Indian


form of wrestling. The wresters are
trained on grounds called akharas.

Mallakhamb, derived from malla,
meaning wrestler and khamb, meaning
pole is another sport.

It is a form of gymnastics, in which a


gymnast performs feats like turning,
twisting, stretching and balancing on a
vertical pole.
