ON SCREEN MARKING (OSM)

Click on the
TracMarks icon on
your desktop to start
the Evaluation
software
Following window is displayed, select login type
as evaluator
Enter your mobile no. in the user id field and click on generate OTP, you will
receive OTP on your registered mobile no. & email ID
Enter the OTP and click on submit
You will reach the following window (TracMarks landing
page), click on start evaluation hyperlink against your choice
of subject from the list
Following Home Screen is displayed
To start evaluation click on “My Marking”
After clicking on “My Marking” the following Worklist Screen is displayed
click on “Get new responses” and all responses up to your concurrent limit will be
downloaded and shown on this screen. Alternatively, you can click on the drop-
down arrow near “Get new responses” tab to download 1 script at a time
To open an answer sheet click on response ID of the script you want to evaluate.
The answer script will be opened in a new window in the TracMarks software.
You need to select at least one annotation in order to start evaluation. Click on the
annotation from the panel on left and drag it to the adjacent ribbon
There is a minimum evaluation time in minutes set for each script. Time starts the
moment you open the script. TracMarks software will not allow you to submit the
script before the time limit.
Use the scroll bar to access different pages
Annotation panel is available at the let hand side bottom of the screen and
Marking panel is available on the right hand side of the marking screen.
Marking an answer sheet
Step 1:
Step 1: Access the pages by scrolling down and then identify the question number the
candidate has answered.

Step 2: In marking panel, marking tab will be by default on the first question. In this case,
for question number 1, marking tab will be on question number 1 (A). For the next
question you can scroll down or click on next question for allotting marks.
Marking an answer sheet
Step 3: If the question or its sub-question carries 1 marks each and you want to award 1
marks, select 1 mark annotation from the annotation panel and click on the
relevant area in the answer sheet. Similarly, you can select the any annotation
mark relevant to the question and click on the answer sheet to award the marks.

Step 4: If the candidate has responded incorrectly to the question then use the cross or
zero annotation to indicate the same and update the score according in the
marking panel.
Removing Annotation
If you want to remove any annotation that has been stamped then place your cursor on
annotation and click the right mouse button. Once “Remove Annotation” pop-up message
appears, left-click on the message and annotation will be removed.
No Response
If a candidate has not
responded to a
particular question or
sub question you have
to click on “NR”
available on the marking
bar for that question.

Reset
After allotting marks for
a particular question or
sub question if you
want to remove the
marks, click on reset
button. A confirmation
message will appear.
Click on Yes to remove
the marks allotted.
Marking blank
pages
It is mandatory that
all blank pages are
checked by the
marker and SEEN
annotated with
“SEEN” annotation.
Every page has to
have minimum one
annotation.

Submission of
answer scripts
An answer sheet is
considered complete
and ready for
submission once all
pages are annotated
and 100% marked.
Submission of script is allowed in software if the following conditions are met-
All pages are annotated
All questions are marked
Minimum time required is spent on the script

Time limit

All pages annotated

All question marked

any un-annotated
page by clicking on
the page view tab
as shown

Click on the “Only


show unannotated

Closed Response

Submitted
responses/scripts
can be viewed
under Submitted –
closed tab available
on marking screen.

After clicking on
Submitted – closed
tab, list of all
submitted scripts
will be displayed.
Raising Exception
• Click on the icon highlighted to raise an exception for a particular script.
• Select the appropriate exception type from the dropdown list.
• Enter comments and click on Submit
Viewing full answer scripts
Full answer script can be
viewed by clicking on
highlighted icon available
on left side of the marking
screen.

A specific page can be


assessed directly by clicking
on “mark this page”.

Moderation of answer scripts remains same as evaluation.

Use Adjudication tab for Moderation.


Revaluation
For 1st level Revaluation click on Remark pooled 1 and then click on “Get new
response” for downloading the scripts.
Revaluation of answer scripts remains same as evaluation.
Same procedure to be followed for 2nd level revaluation and 3rd level revaluation.
