Project Proposal
Statement of the Problem
This topic aims to answer the following questions:
1. What are the factors that contribute to the continual
increase of surface temperature?
2. How much changes in Urban Heat Island and changes in a
5/10 difference years in Dumaguete City?

< >
Objectives:
The main objectives of this topic is to determine the changes or differences in
land surface temperature or increase in Urban Heat Island through remote sensing
and the use of a Quantum Geographic Information system. Below are the specific
objectives this topic wants to accomplish:
a. To determine how much difference of the Urban Heat island in Dumaguete
City with 5/10 years along with its continual urbanization.
b. To assess the relativity of urban heat island with built-up ratio and population.
c. To collect information and data through a Quantum Geographic information
system.

Statement of the Problem 02
Project Proposal
This research aims to provide a thorough understanding
of the geospatial dynamics and land use alterations of
Pantawan People’s Park, Rizal Boulevard, Dumaguete
City overtime.

< >
Objectives:
1. To examine how alterations in land use and zoning affect
property boundaries and land tenure in the vicinity.
2. To explore how geospatial analysis techniques, such as GIS
(Geographic Information Systems) and remote sensing, are employed to
assess the impact of urban expansion on the environment.

Statement of the Problem
This study aims to investigate the accuracy and reliability of
topographical data obtained from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
(UAVs) or drones and to compare the results using Real-
Time Kinematics (RTK).

< >
Objectives:
1. To determine the accuracy and reliability of elevation
measurements using a drone
2. To compare the topographical data obtained from RTK-
GNSS with drone measurements
3. To assess if there are differences in elevation measurements
between a drone (UAVs) and RTK
