THE HISTORY OF VTC IN VIETNAM CAN BE TRACED BACK TO 1988, THOUGH ITS
NAME AND EXACT FUNCTION HAVE EVOLVED OVER TIME.

1988: FOUNDING AND EARLY FOCUS

• FOUNDED AS THE VIETNAM TELECOMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT
MANUFACTURER JOINT-VENTURE COMPANY (VTC) BY THE DEPARTMENT
GENERAL OF POST AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS (DGPT) AND A GERMAN
COMPANY.
• FOCUSED ON MANUFACTURING TELECOMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT, BEING
THE FIRST JOINT VENTURE IN VIETNAM'S TELECOMMUNICATION SECTOR.
• INTRODUCED THE DTS-480 DIGITAL PABX WITH A 480 LINE CAPACITY.
