USEFUL?
In a scenario where a person is mindful of his spending, using
arithemetic sequences would be useful, for example a person
could calculate the amount of gas money he needs for his car.
He would have to look up the amount of gas tank can hold,
figure out how much the car can travel using 1 gallon, and
finally figure out the price of a gallon of gas and adjust the
formula to suit the amount of money he is willing to spend, or
the amount of gas he needs.

LIFE
The short answer is yes, as arithmetic sequences do not
require much thinking, simply finding the values and
just substituting them into a any standard or complex
calculator. This would allow a person to organize his day
and figure out useful information that will support his
lifestyle.
