Introduction

• The global population is rapidly aging, with a significant portion comprising elderly individuals facing unique health
challenges.
• Among the myriad of issues encountered, one critical aspect is the management of medications, which becomes
increasingly complex with age.
• Elderly individuals often experience cognitive decline, leading to forgetfulness and difficulty remembering medication
schedules.
• Missing doses or taking incorrect medications poses serious health risks and complications.
• Many seniors manage multiple medications for various health conditions, resulting in complex medication regimens.
• Keeping track of different dosages, frequencies, and interactions can be overwhelming and prone to errors.
• Elderly individuals may rely on caregivers or family members for assistance in managing their medications.
• This dependence may limit independence and privacy, impacting the quality of life for seniors.
• IoT technology enables the creation of smart medical dispensers equipped with real-time clock (RTC) modules.
• These modules provide accurate timekeeping and scheduling capabilities, ensuring timely medication reminders and
dispensing.
• LCD displays integrated with IoT modules offer intuitive interfaces for users to interact with the medical dispenser.

• Users can easily view medication schedules, dosage instructions, and receive visual prompts for medication intake.
• By leveraging IoT technology, elderly individuals gain greater independence in managing their medications.
• The automated and user-friendly nature of IoT-based medical dispensers promotes self-reliance and empowers
seniors to take control of their health.
• The primary objective of this project is to develop an IoT-based medical dispenser that addresses the specific needs
and challenges faced by elderly individuals.
• By providing a comprehensive solution for medication management, the project aims to enhance the quality of life for
seniors, improve medication adherence rates, and reduce the incidence of medication-related complications.
