BASIC TAEKWONDO KICKS

Stretch 45 Degree Out-In

In-Out Front Kick Side Kick


Fighting Stance
– Gyoroogi Seogi
This is the stance you take
when you're sparring.
Your feet are shoulder
width apart with
both feet in line with one
another and the front foot
holding a little more weight.
Chin is down and hands are
up ready to defend yourself.
There are two different
types of fighting stances.
INSTRUCTION:
Stretch Kick Swing your leg in front as
higher as you can without
bending your knees
INSTRUCTION:
45 Degree Kick Right leg up, side your
body, kick target to the
chest or stomach.
INSTRUCTION:
Out-In Kick Right leg up, kick at the
head forming a circle
from out to in and
target to the head.
INSTRUCTION:
In-Out Kick Opposite of Out-In Kick.
Right leg up, kick at the
head forming a circle
from in to out and
target to the head.
INSTRUCTION:
Front Kick Right knee up, the knee
must level to your
chest and kick in front.
Target at the stomach
or head.
INSTRUCTION:
Side Kick Right knee up, the knee
must level to your
chest and make sure that
your body is facing to the
left and kick side kick
using the side of your toe.
Target at the head.
