WHAT ARE ABOUT DIETS AND DETOXES?

Diets and detoxes are both approaches people use to improve their health and well-being.
• Diets usually involve making specific changes to what and how much you eat.
• Detoxes focus on eliminating toxins from the body through various methods.
WHAT ARE DIETS ?

• Diets are eating plans that people follow to achieve certain health or weight goals
• They typically involve making changes in what and how much you eat.
• There are many different types of diets, like low-carb, , or vegetarian.
CATEGORIES OF DIETS

The Eatwell Guide divides the foods and drinks we consume into 5 main groups:
1.fruit and vegetables.
2.Potatoes, bread, rice, pasta and other starchy carbohydrates.
3.Beans, pulses, fish, eggs, meat and other proteins.
4.Dairy and alternatives.
5.Oils and spreads.
TYPES OF DIETS

The types of diets are as following:


Regular diet :
A regular diet is a healthy meal plan that includes a variety of healthy foods
from all the food groups.
.Follow this meal plan if you do not have any health conditions that require a special diet.
A healthy meal plan is low in unhealthy fats, salt, and added sugar.

Liquid diet:
Carbohydrates and water(Apple juice,grape fruit juice,plain gelatin,
fruit ice , ginger tea and coffee.
Uses:
It may also be recommended after gastrointestinal surgery to heal you
better. Full liquid diets are usually used for a few days and up to two
weeks.

Soft diet:
It is similar to regular diet to except foods required little to no chewing.
Uses:
It is used after surgery or gut upset. Eat foods from “easy to digest” list and avoid foods on “difficult to digest list.
Diabetic diet :
A good meal plan will also: Include more nonstarchy vegetables, such as broccoli,
spinach, and green beans.
Include fewer added sugars and refined grains, such as white bread, rice, and pasta with less
than 2 grams of fiber per serving.
Focus on whole foods instead of highly processed foods as much as possible.

• Sodium restricted diet:
A diet restricted to foods naturally low in sodium content and prepared
without added salt.
Uses
That is used especially in the management of hypertension, heart failure, and kidney.
WHAT ARE DETOXES?

• Detoxification means cleansing the blood. This is done by removing impurities from the blood
in the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination. The body also eliminates toxins
through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymphatic system, and skin during a body detox.
IS DETOX GOOD OR BAD?
.Detox diets are said to eliminate toxins, which supports improving health and
promoting weight loss. While these diets are popular, they are not necessary.
