ABSTRACT
• Recently home security system has been very poor. These research projects consist of a smartbank
locking system which provides a great solution to improve the home safety management of banks
• Arduino IDE software and a Bluetooth module hc-05 were used to connect between the smartphone,
the microcontroller and the bank lock to give an easy access to authorized persons
• The person with the authority to open the bank can have access within their fingertips by installing the
required application which has open/close button.
• The hc-05 serves as a receiver and transmitter but also communicates with the microcontroller which
serves as a processing unit in this project and decides whether the password entered by the user is right
or wrong
• If the password is right the user can have access to the bank and when the password is wrong the user
will have no access .
• Enhancing the safety and security of main entrance banks.
INTRODUCTION
• In today's modern world, security plays an important role.
• Every person has precious accessories like gold, jewelry or cash.
• It is not enough to have these accessories, but security of this is very important, for this purpose
we keep them in bank lockers.
• Still we often hear or read in newspaper that some fake person has access the locker of another
person and have stolen money.
• In order to overcome this type of frauds, authentication of the person who wants to use the
locker is very important.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
• In this project we propose a Biometric based secure access which can provide a sophisticated
theft alert system for bank locker system.
• Implementing a bank locker system using fingerprint technology involves integrating biometric
scanners with locker access controls
• Then using biometric module to open the main door for authorized person.
• This system offers better solution for the bank security system and it will also help us to track the
person who tried to open the locker without the permission and proper authentication .
WHAT IS A FINGERPRINT
• A fingerprint is the feature pattern of one finger.
• It is an impression of the friction ridges and furrows on all parts of a finger.
• Among the variety of minutia types reported in literatures, two are mostly significant and in heavy
usage:
1. Ridge ending - the abrupt end of a ridge
2. Ridge bifurcation - a single ridge that divides into two ridges
WHY FINGERPRINT BIOMETRIC

• Low maintenance cost

• Saves time of an individual
• Fastest and easiest security
• No other software required other than
fingerprint device
• More privacy ,Portable and affordable

CIRCUIT
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
• Fingerprint processing includes two parts:
1. fingerprint enrollment and
2. fingerprint matching (the matching can be 1:1 or 1:N).
• When enrolling, user needs to enter the finger two times.
• The system will process the two time finger images, generate a template of the finger based on
processing results and store the template.
• When matching, user enters the finger through optical sensor and system will generate a
template of the finger and compare it with templates of the finger library. For 1:1 matching,
system will compare the live finger with specific template designated in the Module;
• For 1:N matching, or searching, system will search the whole finger library for the matching
finger. In both circumstances, system will return the matching result, success or failure.
ARDUINO UNO
• The Arduino Uno is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328p.
• It is simple, inexpensive, open source prototyping platform extensible to hardware and software.
• It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16
MHz ceramic resonator, a USB connection, a power jack, and a reset button.
• It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller.
• We either need to connect it to a computer using a USB cable or power it with an AC-to-DC
adapter.
• The Arduino circuit acts as an interface between the software part and the hardware part of the
project.
BUZZER
A buzzer or beeper is an audio signaling device, which may be mechanical, electromechanical.
Typical uses of buzzers and beepers include alarm devices, timers, and confirmation of user input
such as a mouse click or keystroke.
Electromechanical:
Early devices were based on an electromechanical system identical to an electric bell without the
metal gong
Mechanical:
A joy buzzer is an example of a purely mechanical buzzer. They require drivers.
FLOW CHART:
WORKING PRINCIPLE:
• In a fingerprint-based bank locker system using Arduino, simplicity meets security. Here's how it
works:
• Firstly, a fingerprint scanner is connected to the Arduino board. When a user places their finger
on the scanner, it captures the fingerprint data. The Arduino then compares this data with stored
fingerprint templates to verify the user's identity. If the fingerprint matches, the Arduino activates
a single-channel relay, which controls the locking mechanism of the bank locker, allowing access.
• In case of a mismatch or unauthorized attempt, the Arduino triggers a buzzer to sound an alarm,
signaling potential security breaches. This simple yet effective system provides secure access to
bank lockers, ensuring only authorized individuals can open them while alerting against any
unauthorized attempts, enhancing overall security.
APPLICATIONS
• PC access and internet security (Computer network security, Internet transaction, Laptop security,
Application level security)
• Physical area security(Military, Government, Banking, voting etc.)
• Employee record check
• Mobile phones: network access & theft protection
• Mobile financial transaction: Credit cards & ATM cards.
• Voter registration and identification.
• Border control via passport verification by using biological parameters.
• Population census by using biometrics.
• Driver's license and professional ID card verification with biometric identifier
ADVANTAGES
• Provide high security.
• No question arise to hack or crack system.
• No need to remember username.
• Easy to use.
• Fully automatic system
• Theft protection and alert.
CONCLUCSION :
• The main objective of this project is to build a low cost doubled layer security system to improve
the bank security locker. In this we use Fingerprint and password to the security locker for money,
jewellery and any other security documents of every other citizen we can make at safe custody.
Using this technology an authorized person can only open the lock and collect the money,
jewellery and any other documents.
• This is a low-cost equipment, low power consumption, compact in size, reliable and stand-alone
unique system. Hence this will help banks to automate their locker system

RESULT:
• Implementing a bank locker system using fingerprint technology can enhance security by
ensuring that only authorized individuals can access the lockers. It involves integrating fingerprint
scanners with the locker system to authenticate users before granting access to their respective
lockers.
FUTURE SCOPE
• Fingerprint based locks are revolutionary locking systems that open with just a touch of
authorized user's finger, their increased use in various locking applications can lead to
"KEYLESS WORLD".
• Fingerprint mismatch regarded as an attempt of illegal access, can reveal possible theft.
• The main advantages of using biometric fingerprint and password technology is highly secure and
reliable locker system than any other locker systems. This system can also create a log containing
check in and check out of each user along with basic information. Fingerprint and GSM based
Security System
• The system can be made to communicate with modems and mobile phones
