•Teaching is highly complex skill that

requires other skills too.
What is the right teaching approach?
• Teach like a craft.
• Make it engaging.
• Explain complex issues in simple method.
• Requires understanding of psychology, pedagogy, as well as wide range of
management skills.
• Have a thorough understanding of the subject.
• Try to use Student-led system instead of traditional method.
What do think tanks think?
• Rob Coe, Professor at Durham University reported that many widely used
methods don’t work.
Grouping students by ability, giving unearned praise, or the idea that students can
discover complex concepts by themselves.
Instead, master instructors don’t teach the subject.
In fact, teach students how to learn it for themselves.
Schools with better students:

• Have principals that get out of their office, and spend a lot of time in the
classrooms, supervising and developing the teachers.

• Together they can make a big difference in their student’s life.
