person's knowledge, skills,
abilities, or performance in a
particular area.
In multigrade settings, regular and
frequent formative assessment is a vital
tool in the teaching-learning process
(Little, 2005 as cited in Brown, B., 2010).
It promotes learning that focuses on
enhancing learning rather than for the
purpose of promoting students to the
next grade level (Hargreaves, 2001).
