Good morning, children of God! • Happy Sabbath! Are you ready to listen to our story? • Long ago, there was a young boy named Pong. He was a quite and introverted kid. • He was a member of a local Seventh-Day Adventist church in the province. • One day, he was assigned to render a part during Sabbath School. His Sabbath School teacher asked him to recite a memory verse in front of the congregation. • Since Pong was a quiet and shy boy, he was so nervous to do his part. • Then, the moment arrived. Step by step he climbed up to the pulpit. He was there already, standing, but shaking. • The moment he was going to open his mouth, his mind went blank. Oh no! • Then suddenly, he walked down the pulpit. He ran away. He ran from his task. • In the corner, he was crying. Ashamed of what he had failed to do. • On their way home, his father told him that it was okay: “There is always a next time, and he can do better next time. Just pray to God for His strength and guidance.” • From then on, he set his mind to prepare for his upcoming tasks. • Today, he is confident in delivering his part as storyteller this morning. • That’s why children, whenever we feel afraid to do our part in the church, always remember that it is okay to be shy. All we need to do is pray to the God for his guidance and ask our parents for help. • And to dear parents, let us help build our child’s confidence through our constant support and encouragement. That ends our story this morning. Our memory verse is found in Philippians 4:13.
