We love Him (Jesus) because He first loved us.

Jesus loves us first so therefore He is our first love.

and we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God
is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
What happened when God’s love abides in us and we abide in His
love? (speaks of unity between God and us)

Ephesians 1:3-6
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has (1) blessed us with every blessing in the spiritual
or heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose
us in Christ to be (2) holy (set apart from the world) and
without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt
us into his own family by bringing us to himself through
Jesus Christ.

So we praise God for (3) the glorious grace (unmerited
favor) he has poured out on us who belong to his dear
Son.

What is the evidence of God’s love?

Romans 5:8-9
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ
to die for us while we were still sinners. 9 And since we have been
made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save
us from God’s condemnation.

(2) We are holy (set apart from the world) and faultless in his
eyes
(3) Abba has poured out on us the glorious grace (unmerited
favor)

当神的爱住在我们里面，而我们也住在他的爱里面时，会
发生什么？ （谈到上帝与我们之间的团结）
(1) 阿爸赐予我们属灵或天国的一切祝福
(2) 在他眼中我们是圣洁的（与世界分开）并且没有瑕疵

Abba’s love in us and we in His love is possible because of
Jesus died in our place and when we accept Abba’s love
through Jesus.

 God decided in advance to accept us into his own family by
bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ

 God made us accepted in the Beloved (Jesus)

It’s King David who first looked for Mephibosheth and

showed him kindness because David and Jonathan,
Mephibosheth’s father, loved each other as brothers.

King David is like Abba who loves Jesus (type of

Jonathan). We are like Mephibosheth, who are being
invited by Abba to “eat at His table” (have fellowship
with Abba) everyday.
