Problem Statement :
Users encounter a dilemma when others unexpectedly request access to their mobile
devices, leading to reluctance in sharing due to the need to conceal sensitive data
quickly. Balancing convenience with privacy becomes challenging, impeding the
effective protection of sensitive applications and chats.

The aim is to develop an app that seamlessly hides private data from the default lock
screen, offering users a discreet solution for safeguarding their sensitive information.
Proposed Solution :
Our app revolutionizes mobile privacy with a dual-purpose calculator interface that
seamlessly integrates into the default Android lock screen. Users unlock hidden
features by inputting a unique combination of numbers and symbols within the
calculator, ensuring discreet access to sensitive data like WhatsApp chats and apps.
This innovative solution enhances security with dual-pattern access, allowing users to
set two distinct patterns for unlocking their device. Moreover, the app functions as a
typical lock screen, enabling users to unlock their device using a pattern as usual.
However, entering an alternative pattern triggers the app to hide selected apps and
chats, offering comprehensive privacy protection. Additionally, our app supports
multiple fingerprints to achieve the same functionalities, further enhancing security
measures. By masquerading as a standard calculator, it maintains a low profile,
ensuring privacy without arousing suspicion. This open innovation approach combines
convenience with robust security, empowering users to safeguard their sensitive
information effortlessly.
Tech Stack Used :
Programming Languages: Java or Kotlin
• Android SDK for device functionality and UI
• Encryption algorithms for data security
• Authentication mechanisms for pattern lock and fingerprint access
• UI/UX Design: Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma
• Backend Services (optional)
• Version Control: Git
• IDE: Android Studio
• Testing Frameworks: JUnit, Espresso
• CI/CD: Jenkins, CircleCI
• App Store Deployment: Google Play Store
Future Prospect :
The project holds promising future prospects, driven by the growing demand for
discreet security solutions. As privacy concerns continue to escalate, the app stands to
capture a larger market share. Future developments may focus on enhancing features
such as biometric authentication, expanding app’s hiding options, and integrating with
other platforms. Collaborations with app developers or device manufacturers could
broaden its reach and utility. Targeting diverse demographics and regions may further
expand the user base, particularly in regions with heightened privacy awareness.
Monetization strategies such as premium features, subscriptions, or partnerships with
manufacturers for pre-installed versions could generate revenue streams. Regular
security updates will be imperative to maintain user trust and satisfaction amidst
evolving threats. Community engagement efforts through forums, social media, and
feedback channels will foster user loyalty and drive innovation. In sum, the project is
poised for growth, adaptation, and success in addressing the evolving landscape of
mobile privacy and security.
