ROBOTICS
Robotics is the integration of S.T.E.M to produce machines
called ROBOTS
ROBOTICS
• Robotics can also be referred as the branch of science that
deals with design, construction, operation and application of
robots
ROBOTS
• A robot is a programmable machine that can complete a task.
• A robot is an artificial agent, meaning it acts as a substitute
for a person, doing thing it is designed for.
• A robot is a type of automated machine that can execute
specific tasks with little or no human invention and with speed
a precision.
Difference between Robots and Machines
• Robots are self governing machines capable of making a
decision without an external trigger, they are programmed
with scenarios in mind and perform as long as the presented
scenario is part of those programmed in it’s system .
Examples: Airplanes, Computers, Farm Machinery, Auto-mobiles etc.
• A machine on the other hand, has to be operated by a humanm
to act, in most cases, machines requires constant human
supervision to ensure that it runs it’s operation well .
Examples: Hospitality bots, Autonomous drones, Vacuum cleaners.
Types of Robots
• Mono Robots
• Tele-operated
• Autonomous Robots
• Humaniods
• Augmented Robots
Uses Of Robotics
• Manufacturing.
• Mining.
• Transport.
• Earth and Space Exploration.
• Surgery.
• Weaponry.
• Laboratory Research.
• Safety and the mass production of consumer goods.
