SCIENCE CONCEPT
Evaporation is the process by which water is converted from its liquid form to its vapour form and thus transferred from land and water masses to the atmosphere. Evaporation from the oceans accounts for 80% of the water delivered as precipitation, with the balance occurring on land, inland waters and plant surfaces.
Rate Of Evaporation
Temperature: the higher the temperature, the more evaporation Humidity: the lower the humidity, the more evaporation Wind speed: the higher the wind speed, the more evaporation

at air-conditioning room
Temperature : 40-45 C Humidity : 11-14 % Time taken to evaporate 1200 second = 20 min
In air-conditioning room
Temperature : 19-20 C Humidity : 26-27 % Time taken to evaporate 4600 second = 76.6 min
In a room
Temperature : 24-25 C Humidity : 18-20 % Time taken to evaporate 1200 second = 20 min

Discussion 1. From the graph, what is the relationship between temperature and humidity with the rate of evaporation? 2. Which location show the fastest rate of evaporation? Why? 3. How does the process takes place in different location? 4. What are the other factors that can affect the rate of evaporation?
Unique Features
Experiment can be repeated or stopped at any time as the work is done by data logger
Enhance
It was a heavy rain outside! At the same time, you want to dry your shoes and use it tomorrow. What would you do? Why?
Extension
We already learn about process of liquid to gas which is evaporation. How about
Can this process occur? Give some phenomena relating to this process. How this process takes place?
Extension
As we know, evaporation is the transition process of : liquid gas Same goes to boiling and transpiration process too. What are the comparison of evaporation, boiling and transpiration processes? Are they all the same?
