+ Why do we use passive voice?
+ (1) We use passive voice when
the object of the sentence is
more important than the subject.
+ For instance :
+ Active voice:They executed

+ Passive voice:Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto
was executed

+ 2,we use passive voice when


it is not necessary to mention
the doer of action or it is
already known who the
subject is.
+ Example:
+ Active voice: Doctors will
operate on him.
+ Passive voice: He will be
operated on.

we do not know the doer of
action or we have forgotten
who has done the action.
+ Active voice: someone has
stolen my laptop.
+ Passive voice: my laptop has
been stolen.

+ 2. The project may be finished by Iqra.
+ 3. The task must be completed by Eman.
Imperatives

+ Imperative sentences are used for commands,


instructions, or requests. They typically begin with a
verb and end with a period or exclamation mark.
+ *Imperative Sentence Structure:*
+ 1. Verb (base form) + Object
+ 2. Do/Does + Verb (base form) + Object
Examples:*

+ 1. Don't distrub the baby!


+ 2. Close the door.
+ 3. Follow the instructions!
+ 4. Answer the phone .
+ 5 Do not insult the poor.
Passive Voice in Imperative
Sentences:
+ 1. Let + Object + be + Past Participle (by + Agent)
+ 2. Have + Object + Past Participle (by + Agent)
+ *Examples:*
+ 1. Let the baby be left undisturbed !
+ 2. Let the door be closed!
+ 3. Let the instructions be followed!
+ 4. Let the phone be answered !
