Foreign Policy
A nations s plan on dealing with other nations is called its foreign policy. policy.
 

President directs foreign policy of U.S. National security is the primary goal of U.S. foreign policy- the ability to keep policythe country safe from attack or harm.

Foreign Policy Goals

Other goals of U.S. foreign policy:
  

International trade Promoting world peace Promoting democracy around the world

-all of these goals are connected to national security.

Foreign Policy Bureaucracy

The president and White House assistants work with a foreign policy bureaucracy in the executive branch which includes:  The State Department  The Defense Department  CIA  The National Security Council

Congress v. the President
