Find the Perimeter of
chocolates, A and B.

To find the perimeter of the chocolates A

and B, we add the measures of the sides.
The length of the chocolate A is 7 cm and
the width is 5cm.
Perimeter of
Chocolate A
P= 2L x 2W
P= S+S+S+S
P=(2 x 7) +( 2 x 5)
= 14 cm + 10 cm
= 24 cm
The length of the chocolate B is 3 cm and
the width is 6 cm.

Perimeter of
Chocolate A
P= 2L x 2W
P= S+S+S+S
P=(2 x 3) +( 2 x 6)
= 6 cm + 12 cm
= 18 cm

Area-is the total
surface of shape. It is
calculated by
multiplying the length
of a shape by its width.
The formula in finding the
area of rectangle is
A=LxW
Find the Area of Chocolates, A

The length of the chocolate A is 7 cm
and the width is 5cm.

Area of

= 7cm x 5cm
A= 35 [Link]
The length of the chocolate B is 3 cm and the
width is 6 cm.

Area of

= 3cm x 6cm
A= 18 [Link]
Read and analyze the
problem.
Anabelle prepared a table napkin.
That is 20 cm long and 15 cm wide.
What is its perimeter? And what its
area?
Perimeter can be solved
using the
15 cm Formula: P=2L+ 2W
Solution: P=2L+ 2W
= (2 x 20 cm) + (2 x 15
cm)
20 cm
= 40 cm + 30 cm
P= 70 cm
Anabelle prepared a table napkin. That is 20 cm
long and 15 cm wide. What is its perimeter? And
what its area?

15 cm

Area of the rectangle can

be solve using
Formula: A= L x W
Solution: A= 20 cm x
15 cm
20 cm A= 300 sq. cm
We use square unit, because we multiply two like
unit, in our example we multiplied cm by cm, so
the area will be square cm.
