• Refers to the collection of projects and
works of students that
exemplifies(represents) their skills
attitudes interest within a certain period of
time.
• It is a compilation of students’ best
work and materials which are essential
to assess their progress or
achievements.

PORTFOLIO
In doing portfolio assessment,
one should be guided by the
content, learning, and equity
principles.
• Content principle - suggests that portfolios should reflect
the subject matter that is important for the students to
learn. ( content in relation to planning)
• Learning principle- suggests that portfolios should enable
the students to become active and thoughtful learners.
(actively constructing knowledge)
• Equity principle- explains that portfolios should allow
students to demonstrate their learning styles and
multiple intelligences. (Music smart, logic smart, people

student's day-to-day works that reflect his
