Plural Nouns
Aplural form of a
noun names more
than one. It usually
ends with s or es.
Add es to make nouns
plural that end with:

Rule 1
To change most singular
nouns to plural nouns, add s

Rule 2
For nouns ending in
sh, ch, s, x, add es
brush church grass box

Add ies to make nouns plural
that end with a consonant and a
y:
lady
ladies
fry
fries
Rule 3
For nouns ending in y
after a vowel, add s

For nouns ending in y
after a consonant,
change the y to i and
