What Is Leadership?
y According to Peter De Lisle Leadership, is the ability to

influence others, with or without authority.


y Leadership is the ability to develop a vision that

motivates others to move with a passion toward a common goal.


y Leadership refers to the ability of one individual to

influence others.

Leadership Qualities
y Motivation: Motivation means leader should have to

motivate to their subordinates to achieve their common goal. y Courage: Quality of spirit that enables you to face the problems or danger without showing fear. y Decision making: The leader should have quality of take right decision at a right -time. Taking the right decision in the right way is an essential quality of a leader.

Leadership Qualities
y Responsibility: It is the leader responsibility to

motivate and inspire his subordinates lead by setting a good example. y Initiative: The leader should take the initiative it shows that he is capable to bring out new ideas and actively carry them out. y Judgment : The leader should be able to judge a people or situation or event. Even in intense situations he should be able to keep his cool and judge accordingly.

y Knowledge: The leader should have proper

knowledge about their work system and how to work on it. y Loyalty: The leader should be loyal to his subordinates and should never cheat or do any kind of fraud. y Selflessness: Leader should not be selfish he always think about his subordinates. y Ability to Communicate: Leader should have ability to communicate with his subordinate in a way that they will understand him.

y Risk: Effective leaders take calculated risks when

necessary to achieve their objectives. If a mistake is made, the effective leader will learn from the mistake and use it as an opportunity to explore other avenues.
