Renewing your friendship with your ex can be quite a task. While some people dont make the effort because they are wary of the repercussions, there are others who will tell you that it cant be done at all. You will find a similar pattern in Bollywood too. The Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence, on behalf of the Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Minister for Status of Women, today welcomed the signing of a preliminary contract with Irving Shipbuilding Inc. as part of the Arctic Offshore Patrol Ships (AOPS) project being implemented under the National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy (NSPS). This preliminary $9.3-million contract will enable Irving Shipbuilding Inc. to conduct a review of the existing AOPS design and specifications and create an execution strategy for the AOPS project. The AOPS will provide the Royal Canadian Navy with the flexibility to operate in Arctic and other offshore environments year-round, asserting and enforcing Canadian sovereignty, including domestic surveillance, search and rescue, and supporting other government departments. We have entered into a longterm relationship with Irving Shipbuilding, and we are pleased to see the awarding of this contract. This is the first in a series of contracts leading to the delivery of new ships for the Royal Canadian Navy, said Minister Ambrose. He studied martial arts in Bangkok and also has a black belt in Taekwondo. But not many know that Akshay Kumar, back in the 90s, used to train Prateek, the grandson of his Deedar (1992) director Pramod Chakravorty, in martial arts. The event had all the makings of a Bollywood film except that it was not a movie but a well-orchestrated event with beautiful women, models, designers, hair and make up stylists, and the whos who in attendance. The heat wave continued in Toronto from July 2-8 as the International Fashion Festival Toronto 2012 (IFFT) continued to make temperatures rise. Fashionistas, socialites, social climbers, models and model wannabes, photographers, industry heads and politicians, all jostled for their place in the line up to get into the hall for this stunning show. Several local and international designers revealed their creations at the International Convention Centre in Mississauga with the grand finale featuring the breathtaking creations of Indian fashionista extraordinaire Vikram Phadnis and Lebanese renowned designer Walid Atallahs bridal collection. Walid Atallah made headlines all over the world with his $1.2 million bridal gown creation. traditional embroidery and embellishments brought to life with images of royalty of days gone by, yet conveying a modern touch that becomes every womans dream. Audible gasps and shows of appreciation from the audience punctuated each models entry on the ramp. Vikram truly has made his mark here in Toronto ! Of course in true Bollywood style, the event, although extremely well organized, started and ended about 2 hours late. Though July 1 is Canada Day, the celebration in Brampton Ontario also included elements of India, Pakistan, Japan, New Zealand, and even the streets of Harlem, New York. Such is the concept of TigerFest 2012, the fundraiser put on by legendary wrestler, humanitarian and philanthropist Tiger Jeet Singh and his son wrestling superstar Tiger Ali Singh as part of the citys festivities. A record shattering number of over 100,000 spectators attended this years Canada Day festivities put on by the City of Brampton, which was headlined by TigerFest, rock bands Marianas Trench and April Wine at Bramptons allday Canada Day party, held on the grounds at the PowerAde Centre entertainment complex. Yoga tips for irregular shift workers

Several professionals have a very demanding routine in terms of night shifts. Due to the altered body clocks they end up suffering from several health disorders. Such kinds of jobs are on the rise with a continuous emphasis on increasing productivity and lowering costs. Most common examples are call center workers, specially those that are serving clients half-way across the globe. The two most common disorders related to this are Sleeplessness and Constipation Sleeplessness or Insomnia This is one of the most common complaints and not surprisingly so. Sleeping during the day is difficult and the general noise and distraction level is high. It is well known that continuous use of sleeping pills may be detrimental to health. Also, the body develops a progressive resistance to them. Therefore, they should be avoided. A yoga technique that can be of very great use is the technique of Yoga Nidra or psychic sleep. When practiced correctly, this method produces such deep relaxation that one hour of yoga nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of deep sleep. Constipation Although this is a universal problem, it is more common among shift workers. After midnight, the automatic regulation of metabolic processes has an effect of slowing down the heart rate and the blood circulation. In a person on night-shift, as he sits upright, the blood accumulates around the pelvis, lower abdomen and legs. This causes the blood

vessels around the colon to dilate, thereby constricting the passage and resulting in constipation. Prolonged effect of this condition can result in piles. The yoga solution for this problem is a position called Sarvangasana. This is an inverted position in which the legs are slowly raised up while lying down. In the final position, only the head and neck rests on the floor while the entire torso and legs lie vertical to the ground in the inverted position. This position helps the accumulated blood in the lower abdomen and legs to move towards the lungs. This helps in the oxygenation of impure blood and the normalization of the colon. Five minutes of Sarvangasana should be sufficient to counteract the problem of blood stagnation in the lower part o the body.

They last worked together in Yahaan. And interestingly, the 2005 film also marked the debuts of both actor Minissha Lamba and director Shoojit Sircar. Seven years later, if things go well, Minissha will team up again with her first director after he wraps up his next political-thriller, Jaffna. We have been talking about working together again after Jaffna. I hope everything works out as per plan, says Minissha about the Vicky Donor director. Its great to see Shoojit getting the appreciation he deserves. Yahaan and Vicky Donor are completely different films. I only hope that he doesnt take seven years to make another film, she adds. For the time being, Minissha is caught up with Joker which stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. Shirish Kunders film was supposed to be released in a 3D format but the filmmakers have now changed their mind.
