. I launch web 2.0 project after I was coordinator in the module proposed by me called “How teachers and students can use free web 2.0 and socialmedia in education” and all the resources were posted on TeachToday website and presented in 22nd
October 2010 at Safer Internet Forum in Luxembourg organised by the European Schoolnet and
European Comission. Curation Restart Education Project was launch because I discover last year that is a new King in the online world and this is Curation, King of Knowledge in Social Media and the Art of : searching, selecting, sharing/bookmarking , tagging, organizing, interaction, communication.Steve Rosenbaum described in his book Curation: (p 3-4) Curation is about adding value fromhumans… Curation is very much the core shift in commerce, editorial, and communities that require
highly qualied humans. Humans aren’t extra, or special, or enhancements; humans arecurators.
They do what no computer can possibly achieve.
(p 12-13) No longer is the algorithm in charge. Human curators have become essential software.
What emerges is new human and computer collaboration… The important news of the emergenceof a Curation Nation is that humans are very much back in charge. The Internet Curator’s role is to
seek on the web information related to a specic domain, lter them, select them, organize, share
and present them in a unique way. Now, if you have done any of that work before, you should
know that doing so has many benets, but is also very time consuming. I mean, you can always
scour your friends blogs, do a search, visit news sites or other trusted sources available to you. Butthen, there is the matter of putting them all together, by copying and pasting, editing, among other things. In essence, you choose a topic, research for the best articles out there, combine them intoa post, publish, and share it to the world. That’s curating content! In XXI Century Society whereinformatics and science developed spectacular and the use of new technologies aren’t regarded likea avangardist movement new tools and apps Web 2.0 and social media can bring a new dimensionand can reform education around the world because electronic communication helps teachers andstudents to learn from each other. These new tehnologies can stimulate discussion, open gatewaythrough knowledge, promote creativity and innovation for effective learning. Teacher and alsostudents should have an entitlement to safe internet access at all times. Pulling Piaget and Papert, the use of participatory media tools in education is typically geared towards, creating a morestudent centered, adaptive environnement where learners can contribute to the course material,formulate and express their own insights and opinion, construct their own understanding of materialby connecting concepts, to personal experience or current events, and learn from one another incollaborative environments . Web 2.0, social media and other digital and information tehnologies arepowerful and interesting tools,which open up new opportunities for everyone and for this reasonteachers and students must know how to use it nowadays in a safety mode. I try to make a platformfor romanian teachers to implement CRED project, but for this I need founds . For this reason I applyin national competition Restart in Educatie with other 82 projects

and unfortunatelly wasonly on 27 place after public vote and only top 20 went further in the competition see http://

Restart Education project who will open gateway to knowledge for romanian teachers and who waslaunch from passion of use of new free online techonologies , tools and apps web 2.0 and socialmedia who can be successfully integrated in the classroom.
Although I’m now working on a new book, “Curation Restart Education Project and top 100 social
media curation tools who will change research in XXI Century Education” I will present here my top
10 curation tools in 2011, although now in 2012 I discover many startup curation like bo.lt or pinterest
who open gateway to knowledge for teachers worldwide.

is my favorite social media curation tool because easily you can express your passion
with a gorgeous magazine and be heard . Scoop.it is topic-centric, but we can’t forget that it’s rst of
all a social media The main difference with the others social media is essential: Scoop.it lets usersfollow topics, not people. Scoop.it brings you content on topics you’ve decided to follow, shared byother people on these topics. People we meet are users who are willing to discuss about the samesubjects. What gather people together are their passions! We don’t always share our passions withour friends: especially if they are unusual. In short, with Scoop.it you share content with people
who are likely to nd it relevant. Scoop.it enables to share things you would not normally shareon other social Medias. Sometimes you nd that it’s too risky to share links with your family, your
