State Senate Candidate Cecilia Tkaczyk Speaks at StateWide Senior Action Council Meeting
(Kingston, NY) Cecilia Tkaczyk (pronounced: KAT-chik), the Democratic candidate in the 46th Senate district spoke at todays Ulster County StateWide Senior Action Council Meeting to discuss important senior issues affecting our communities. All too often the well-being and security of our senior citizens are over looked in state government, Cecilia Tkaczyk stated. We need a strong voice in the state legislature to speak out for our seniors not only in the 46th district but in the entire state of New York. Cecilia went on to explain how her opponent in the General Election is a current Assemblyman with a track record. Plain and simple; George Amedore is not standing up for our seniors, said 46 th Senate candidate Cecilia Tkaczyk . Since 2007, when George Amedore was first elected, he has not introduced a single bill to the Assembly Aging Committee nor is he a member of the Aging Committee, Housing Committee, or the Health Committee. There is a laundry list of things we need to do in order to accomplish true reform for our senior citizens, Cecilia Tkaczyk said. Whether its improving Medicaid funding or transforming public transportation, I look forward to standing up for the rights of our senior citizens and representing the entire 46th Senate District of New York State.
