    ****UPDATE**** The Grand Rapids Police Department arrested DONTAE DUJUAN BURTON, date of birth 12-23-1984 on September 27th, 2012 in connection with this case. On September 28th, 2012 the Kent County Prosecutor's Office issued two charges: Assault with Intent to Commit a Felony and Attempted Unlawful Imprisonment. The arraignment is scheduled for 1:30 PM this afternoon. The Grand Rapids Police Department is investigating a complaint of an assault that occurred on September 17th, 2012 around 11:40 PM at the corner of Leonard Street and Herrick Avenue NE. The 14 year old female victim was walking alone on Leonard Street at Herrick Avenue when the suspect approached her from nearby bushes and grabbed her. The suspect then attempted to drag the victim back towards the bushes, but the victim was able to escape. The suspect fled in an unknown direction. The Grand Rapids Police Department Major Case Team is investigating. Anyone with further information about this incident is asked to call the Grand Rapids Police Department at 4563604 or Silent Observer at 774-2345.
