I think this is not the best and most effective contents page. My reason for this is because theres not that much information put on to the contents page it doesnt give a good impression into what the rest of the magazine is about. I dont think I could use this as inspiration because theres quite a bit of blank space a good contents page should be filled with content and articles and past issues , subscription details etc.

Also within the contents pages everything placed on it has a sub title which adds structure to the make making it easier to understand.

The title is in big at the top in a more central location. However the words Master Plan are very effective because the word plan infers / indicates an overview into the magazine. I think this idea is quite original because it demonstrates the fact that this magazine is unlike the others by the way theyve labelled the contents page. Makes it look organized. It also shows how many issues have been published and if the magazine has been going for a long time because people often have faith in publishing institutions that have been around longer than the others.

Having the picture labelled to what page number they feature on successfully shows the purpose of a contents page.

Also the way that the contents page is referred to as the source indicates that it is the source of all information which I think is effective.

The picture displays three rappers. The picture grabs attention because they take up a considerable amount of the page but also because of the shiny metallic colours that feature in their clothing. This is only re enhanced by the plain white background.
