2nd house lord going to lagna definitely indicates that the native (lagna) will enjoy many good results related to the second house such as good family, wealth etc. But for sure house lord going to 12th house from 2nd house may not be beneficial to 2nd house as well - and there for some bad results such as detachment towards family, wealth etc also can be naturally expected. It is this detached, or unhelpful attitude of the native towards the family that needs his attention that causes negative effects to the family. It is not that he does not love the family, or that he doesn't have a good family; but the point made is that the end result would be not beneficial or positive for the family. But this simple reasoning does not seem to be enough to derive a strong result such as `he will destroy his own family, will do cruel deeds without pity, and would be in want of children (especially son)'. There should be a better logic and reason for this result derivation - and there is one! In the previous section on `lagna lord in various houses' we learned that Kala Purusha chart (i.e. the natural zodiac) could be considered for deriving results. As per this system, while dealing with 2nd house related results, we should consider Taurus as the lagna (because Taurus is the 2nd house in Kalapurusha chart), and try to see the result from results there of, and ascribe these results to `2nd lord in various houses'. If Taurus is considered as lagna, we clearly note that 2nd house (family) and 5th house (children) are rules by Mercury and also that the lagna lord Venus gets debilitated in the 5th house Virgo. Thus for sure in a Taurus lagna chart lagna lord Venus, debilitated in 5th, going to 12th house Aries, clearly indicate that the native will not be affection affectionate towards his own family and also that he will

have less number of children. It is this result that gets ascribed to 2nd house lord when it goes to lagna.

He will destroy his own family: Because considering Taurus as lagna in Kalapurusha chart, lagna lord who is debilitated in the sign of 2nd house lord mercury goes to 12th house from lagna indicating less benefits or lack of interest in own family.

He would be in want of children (especially son): This statement clearly tells us that he will have very less number of children, or even may not have children, or even if he has children it would be daughters. Here to derive the result the Natural Horoscope (Kala Purusha Chart) is considered. There are two techniques for using Natural Horoscope to derive the results. They are described below

Technique 1: Considering Aries as Lagna

If we consider Aries as lagna, 2nd lord going to lagna is equivalent to `Taurus lord Venus going to Aries for Aries lagna'. Note that the watery planet going to the fiery sign Aries will cause problem for 2nd house related matters, and also that the 5th house from Aries is Leo another fiery sign. Leo is well popular as an `Alpa Putra Rasi' (a sign giving less number of sons, or at times no son at all). This is one of the logic behind the derivation of a result such as `want of children (especially son)'. [Here onwards I will use the notation NHT1 to refer to this technique- where NH stands for Natural Horoscope Technique 1]

Technique 2: Considering Taurus as Lagna

In the natural horoscope the 2nd house is Taurus. If we consider Taurus as lagna, then `the 2nd lord going to its 12th house (i.e. lagna)' is equivalent to `the 2nd house lord for Taurus lagna, i.e. Mercury going to the 12th house from Taurus lagna, i.e. Aries'. In his case the Mercury is the 2nd and 5th lord from Taurus and it going to 12th from Taurus will indicate many bad results for both 2nd and 5th house. That is why the derivation `not much helpful to own family' and `want of children (especially son)'. Note that for Taurus lagna, lagna lord Venus gets debilitated in 5th house Virgo; Virgo is well popular as an `Alpa Putra Rasi' (a sign giving less number of sons, or at times no son at all); Virgo is a female sign with duel nature owned by a female eunuch Mercury. The 5th lord going to 12th (a malefic house) from Taurus lagna will add to this clearly indicating the result `want of children (especially son)'.

Both these techniques of effectively using Natural Horoscope in deriving House Base results is well popular among traditional astrologers and the keys for unlocking the secret behind many results derived and presented to us by the sages.

Helpful to others: Others such as relatives are signified by signified by 4th house (kendra from lagna), others abroad is signified by 12th house. Considering the Kalapurusha chart Venus is going to the Mars house, which owns 12th and 8th house - which again signifies others. It is due to all these facts that the result `helpful to others' is derived. Here we depend on NHT2 to explain the logic behind. If we depend on NHT1, we note that Taurus lord Venus going to Aries for Aries Lagna, will cause Venus to aspect the 7th house (a house indicating native land, roads, and public relations) which is its own house - strengthening the result `helpful to others'.

Wealthy: 2nd lord coming to Lagna indicate a strong connection of 2nd lord with lagna, and also that lagna (the native) will experience the 2nd house for sure. That is why it is said that the native would be wealthy. Lagna lord going to 12th house from 2nd destroys 2nd house significance to an extend, but the same is complemented due to the above factor. Further placement of any benefic (here being the house lord 2nd lord acts as the benefic) behind any house amplifies the wealth of that house (because 12th is hereditary wealth) and it is due to this very reason that it is assumed that, the 2nd lord going to 12th from 2nd even though may cause affliction to many results indicated by 2nd house, but for sure will not affect wealth of the native; and thus the derivation `the native would be wealthy'.

Stingy: 2nd lord going to the 12th house from there destroys the spending nature of 2nd house; and that is why the derivation `the native would be stingy'. He would be tight-fisted as far as expenses are concerned. Hard working, efficient inwork: Here instead of the word hard working `indulging in good deeds' or `active' may be more appropriate. 2nd lord going to lagna makes the native more talkative, active, vibrant individual. The native becomes an extrovert giving more importance to friendships, partnerships, social relationships etc since the active and talkative 2nd lord from lagna aspects the 7th house providing beneficial results to 7th house and thus making the native more efficient, effective and successful.
