How many rooms do you have in your house/flat? What are these? 7. Describe your own room. How is it furnished? 8. What things are there in your bathroom? 9. What can you find in a kitchen? 10. What different types of housing do you know? 1. I come from a town called Polgrdi. 2. It is a nice place about twenty kilometers from Lake Balaton. It is a quiet town and people are very friendly here. 3. The population of our town is about six thousand people. 4. I live in a detached house/in a flat on a housing estate. 5. Yes, we have a big garden behind the house where you can find fruit trees like apple, pear, peach, plum, apricot, sour cherry, cherry and different kinds of vegetables like carrots, onions, garlic, tomatoes, cauliflowers, potatoes, green peppers and eggplants. In front of the house there is a flower garden as well with tulips, daisies and roses. 6. In our house there are nine rooms: three bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, a toilet, a hall, and a small pantry. 7. My room is very cosy. As you enter the room there is a bed on the left. Opposite the door you can find my desk. It is in front of the window. At the desk there is a chair. My PC is next to my desk on the right. It is almost in the corner. The walls are yellow and the carpet is green. I like my room very much. 8. We have a white tub in the bathroom and there is hot and cold running water. The washbasin is beside the tub and over the washbasin there is a mirror.

The bathroom shelf is next to the mirror. On the shelf we have toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo and body lotion and there is a towel rack next to the shelf. Our washing machine is in the corner behind the door. 9. In a normal kitchen you can find a table, some chairs, a cooker, a sink, a cupboard, a microwave oven and a fridge. 10. People can live in block of flats, terraced houses, semi-detached houses, detached houses, cottages, bungallows or row houses.
