1. Write a paragraph about the one you admire most in your family

My mother is the one I admire most in my family. She is 45 years old. She is a worker at a local company, so
she works very hard to support for our family. She is a very caring woman who takes care of and educates my
brother and me with all her love. Every day she has to get up early to prepare meal for all the members and do
household chores. I love her because she is patient and strong. She is a mom and also a teacher for her children.
2. Write a paragraph about your family

I come from a family of 5 people: my parents, my two younger brothers and me. My mother works as a
nurse in a local hospital. She is a very caring woman who takes responsibility for running the household. My
father is an engineer. Despite the hard work, he is always willing to give a hand with cleaning the house. He
enjoys cooking, too. My two younger brothers are just 5 and 7 years old. They are quite active and mischievous
but obedient sometimes. They love drawing and singing.
I am now under a lot of study pressure, but I also try to help them with household chores by washing
dishes, taking out garbage, and looking after my brothers. We are a very close-knit family. We often share our
feeling with one another. We always feel safe and secure in our family.

Dear Mary,
Every family has its own rules. Mine has a few. First, during the school year I’m allowed to watch TV until I
have finished my homework. Sometimes my parents let me go out with my friends on Saturday or Sunday, but I
must come home early. Second, in my family everybody has to do their share of the household chores. And mine
are doing the washing and preparing meals. Third, my parents want me not to chat on the phone more than ten
minutes. How about your family rules? I am very happy with my family. My parents really love me and take good

4. Write about a party you have attended

Last week, I attended my uncle’s wedding party at a restaurant in Tan An city. It’s a big event for the
couple. The party is full of guests including his family, relatives, friends and neighbors. It’s a beautiful place with
lots of flowers and colorful lights. There all the guests exchanged wishes, presented gifts, took pictures, sang
different songs and danced. I was served with a lot of food like soup, cake, soft drink and fruit. I am very happy to
congratulate him and I hope they will be happy forever.
5. Write about the school subject you like best

At school I have studied many subjects but I like studying English best because of the following reasons.
Firstly, English is one of my compulsory subjects. If we don’t learn English well, we can’t pass the exam to
study in the upper class. Secondly, I like studying Englishbecause English is an international language.
 Knowing English I can speak to people all over the world. I can read newspapers and watch program on
television in English and can understand interesting English songs. Last but not least, studying English well
gives us chances to get jobs with good salary. In conclusion, English is useful and interesting language. I will
try my best to study English better and better.
6. Writing about a job you choose for your future

When I grow up, I want to be a doctor, because I think it’s helpful. The first reason is that I want to help poor
people with good health care service, especially in remote areas. Secondly, my aim is to take care of and ease the
sufferings for the sick. What’s more, I’d like to find a cure for other fatal diseases. I hope I will have a chance to
work in the hospital in my province. I will try my best to study hard to pass the university entrance exam to
become a doctor someday.

Learning English is very important. It's simple because English is one of the most popular, important
international languages and it's most used not only all over the world but also in many fields such as in business, in
international conferences or to communicate with foreigners when they come to our country or when we go
abroad. Moreover, If we know English well, we can read newspapers, magazines and reference books or listen to
the radio in English to enlarge our knowledge and especially it's easy to get a job in a foreign company with a high
salary. To sum up, we should learn English to be successful in our career and in our life.

There are many kinds of sports such as football, tennis, volleyball, badminton and so on, but I like football best
because of the following reasons. First of all, it is very easy for me and my friends to play this kind of sport in our
free time. I only need a ball, a pair of shoes and a small yard. Second, it is a chance for me to network with
different people. I can make friends when I play with different teams. Third, playing football helps me get good
health because I have to run all over the place. This makes my heart healthy. Generally, football is really my
favorite and I always play it whenever I have free time.

There are many programmes on TV but I like The News on VTV1 best. I like this program because of
three reasons. First, my family can watch this program together at 7:00 pm every evening. We can get together and
discuss about the information about the world. Second, The New widens my knowledge in different fields, such as
education, sports, music, weather and so on. The information is really useful for my life. Third, it helps me relax.
After a hard working day, I feel comfortable when watching it with my family. Generally, I think people should
watch this program every evening.
10. Write a paragraph about your favorite kind of music
There are many kinds of music in the world but my favorite is country music. First, this type of music is traditional
and very popular in Vietnam. People can listen to it on radio, TV, CDs or on the Internet. Second, country music
helps me relax. For example, when I feel stressed or tired, I always listen to my favourite songs. It makes me feel
more comfortable. Third, country music can connect people together. In a party, especially in the countryside,
people often get together and sing popular song of this type. Generally, I think more and more people will like
listening to country music in the future.

Of all the films I have seen, Snow White and the seven dwarfs is the one I like best. Snow White and the seven
dwarfs is a cartoon film. It is based on a Grimm fairy tale. The film tells us about a beautiful princess who makes
friend with a group of dwarfs. Her stepmother tries to kill her with a poisoned apple. She was saved by a
handsome prince and they fall in love. I find it really interesting and meaningful.

My house is small, but it has enough space for a lot of things. It is in Tan Tru district, about 15 kilometers from
Tan An City. There are four rooms in my house: a living room, two bedrooms, and a kitchen. The living room is
not very big. There is a table in the middle with fourchairs, a television on the left back corner, and a cabinet. In
the bedrooms there are mats, pillows, mosquito nets and blankets. Wehave one alarm clock in each bedroom. The
kitchen seems narrowwith a lot of utensils, a table, six chairs, and a fridge. The houseis surrounded by a garden
with a lot of flowers in spring. I love my house very much because it is the place I was born and grew up.

Last summer holiday, I went to Da Lat city for three days. I went there by my car with my family. We stayed
in a hotel. We did a lot of activities in Da Lat city. First, we had a great time visiting many beautiful places in Da
Lat city, such as the flower garden; Bao Dai palace, Love valley and some waterfalls. Second, we visited Da Lat
market and tried lots of delicious food. We bought some souvenirs. Third, this trip helped us to relax after hard
working days. It helped us to widen knowledge. Generally, I liked this holiday, I am looking forward to getting
back there next summer holidays with my family.
14. Talk about one of your closest friends. Why do you enjoy making friends with him/her?
At school I have a lot of friends but my close friend is Nam. Nam is tall and handsome. He is the same age
as me. He is my classmate. His house is near my house. Nam is very friendly and helpful. He often helps me
with difficult problems whenever I need. Nam studies very well. He always gets good marks. Nam is not only
a good boy at school but also a good son in his family. He usually does household chores to help his mother.
He is loved very much by his teachers, parents, and friends. They are always proud of him. Nam is in deed my
close friend. I admire him very much, I hope my friendship lasts forever.
15. Write a paragraph about measures for protecting endangered animals.
There are a number of measures that should be taken to protect endangered animals from extinction. First, we
should have different activities to raise people's awareness of the need to protect these animals. Funds should also
be raised for protects to save them. Second, endangered animals should be provided with appropriate habitats to
live in and breed successfully. Then, Governments should have a good policy to improve the life of people who
live in or near endangered animals’ habitats. In addition, Organizations in the world must enact laws requiring
some countries to protect endangered animals. Furthermore, Governments should have ban people to exploit and
sell fashionable wildlife products. Last but not least, governments had better establish more wildlife habitat
reserves to preserve endangered animals.
16. Write a paragraph of about 100 words expressing the reasons why you choose the organization
I like to work for the WHO for the number of reasons. First, I really like biology and I’m very good at it .
Therefore, if I work for WHO, I will have a chance to apply my knowledge I have learnt at university to do much
medical research and help improve international health care. Second, I will meet different people from different
countries in the world so I will have good chance to use English regularly. Finally, the most important reason is
that I can take part in social activities to help disadvantaged people who still suffer from many kinds of dangerous
diseases.
17. Uniforms

I think it’s necessary for students to wear uniforms when they are at schoolbecause of the following
reasons. Firstly, wearing uniforms encourages students to be proud of being students of their school because
they are wearing the uniforms with labels bearing their school’s name. Secondly, wearing uniforms helps
students feel equal in many ways, whether they are rich or poor. Finally, wearing uniforms is practical. we
don’t have to think of what to wear every day. Therefore, Students in secondary schools should wear uniform.
18. Advantages of Internet

As you know nobody can deny the benefits of the internet in our modern life. In deed, the internet brings us
the following benefits. Firstly, the internet is a source of information. It is a very fast and convenient way for
us to get information about every aspect from our daily life to scientific fields. Secondly, by using internet we
can relax after a hard working day. We can listen to interesting music, favorite songs, enjoy exciting football
matches, films, games or read newspaper on line. Finally, by using internet we can communicate with our
friends and relatives through chatting or using email. In conclusion, the internet is very useful for us. However,
we shouldn’t spend too much time for it and we should be careful while surfing the web.

19. Write about your hobby/hobbies

One of my hobbies is watching TV. My hobbies started when I was five.I always asked my parents to turn
on the TV set so that I could enjoy the cartoon films or advertisements.
Now I find that watching TV enables me to learn many things. I learn a lot about how people lived in the
old time. I learn about the wonders of the world, space travel, tiny viruses and otherfascinating things.
TV programs provide me with so much information. I can stay at home and watch almost everything
happen around me.
I think I will continue to watch TV because TV programs are always useful to me. Watching TV is actually
a good hobby.
20. Protect our environment
 Nowadays our environment is polluted seriously so protecting our environment is our duty. For me we can
protect our environment in the following ways. Firstly, we can use leaves to wrap food , reuse and recycle
bottles and cans to reduce garbage. Secondly, we shouldn’t throw trash onto the water to keep water cleaner
and put garbage into the bins around the school yard to keep the schoolyard clean. Last but not least, we should
plant more trees and raise people’s awareness of the importance of protecting our environment. In conclusion,
it’s time for us to take actions for the next generation.
21. Wedding in Vietnam

Wedding is very important to the Vietnamese, not only for the couple involved, but also for both families.
The wedding day is usually chosen carefully by the groom’s parents.
On the wedding day, the groom’s family and relatives go to the bride’s house bringing a lot of gifts
wrapped in red papers. Those who hold the trays of gifts are also carefully chosen, they are usually happily
marriage couples.
The Master of the Ceremony introduces the groom, the bride, the parents, the relatives and guests of the
two families. The wedding ceremony starts in front of the altar. The bride and the groom would pray, asking their
ancestors’ permission to be married. The Master of the Ceremony would give the wedding couple advice on
starting a new family. The groom and the bride then exchange their wedding rings.
22. Ideal world to live by 2020

I wish for world peace. Everybody in the world can work and live happily. We won’t still be afraid of wars or
terrorism. We can travel to other countries to broaden our knowledge, help poor or disabled people and
interchange cultural values. I wish all the governments would be concerned about people’s life in all aspects.
Besides I also wish to have a clean, healthy environment for everyone where we can have fresh air, protect wildlife
from extinction and children can have good activities for pleasure.
