IELTS essay: Children learn best by observing the behavior of adults and copying it.

Children do learn best by observing behavior of adults for several reasons.

First of all, children do not know the difference between what is right and wrong. Therefore,
they are always going to try to copy the adults around them because in their minds the adults
are the perfect steriotype of good citizenship. It is very important for adults to try to always
behave in a proper way around children so they can absorb that good behaviour.

Second of all, children do always wants to be like the adults around them when they grow
up. In addition to that, they are always trying to learn from the adults, by osbserving their
actions. For example, if an adult smokes in front of the children, the children it will most
likely wanting to have a smoke. Even tough they might know that smoke is not good for
their health, they want to do what adults do. According to their line of toughts we are
supposed to always know what is right and good in life. 

In conclusion to that, adults should always be concerned with their actions around children
because we play a very important role in their lives. They are our hope for a better future.
Why not start teaching them everything that we wanted to be taught when we were their
age?
 In the waking of the development of this society, children tend to learn everything
fast.  In each period of their lives, they learn in different ways. This essay will discuss
whether children learn best by observing the behavior of adults and copying it.
     It’s true that children learn best by observing the behavior of adults and copying it.
First of all, children are from new born to 5 years old have habit of aping the grown-ups.
They talk in tongue and gesture like those they meet often. Secondly, they don’t know any
languages from birth and after about 3 years copying and listening to other people they can
talk and understand automatically. Their abilities of aping are very fast. Besides, it’s hard for
adults to lean languages because adults can’t learn by observing others and copying it. The
third point is that children are not only learn languages fast but also aping the behavior of
adults, they imitate what their parents do. For example, they’ll empty the rubbish to the right
place if their parents have that habit. Some four to five children can be perfect dancers
because of excellent observing and copying from famous singers, dancers… They are
expecting to become professional.
However, children don’t learn best by observing the behavior of adults and copying it
when they are at the age of over ten. As growing up, children also begin to get acquainted
with different environments. They will improve their thought themselves in educational
environment. Another point is that they will have friends, have chances to study with good
methods and they communicate much more with their friends at school than with adults.
That’s why this time they tend to learn and arrange the knowledge as logical as possible,
observing and copying are also helpful and support them in this period. Furthermore, they
know how to pick and choose what’s good and suitable for themselves. They will get and
learn lessons from their friends, teachers and parents.
     In summary, I agree with the opinion that children learn best by observing the
behavior of adults and copying it. I also believe that they would learn best by studying from
their friends at school by selecting what comes to them.
 Learning is a process of gaining new experiences or transforming the existing information.
Learning is easy to carry if it is obtained from the parents because that is the repeated
observational learning. Children appreciate their parents without judging them because they
are the role models. Children have an ability to learn more by observing others doing any
kind of work. Children have brain like a plain paper. They learn good or bad from what they
watch around them. First, they watch their family members, how they communicate with
each other, their lifestyle, and way of living. They get same impression because they spend
most of their time with them. They copy the information which is the most characteristic of
humans. Psychologically the children are into the phase of sensitive learning, they rapidly
copy the behavior of their parents which is imprinted on their minds. Sometimes the learning
is the result of an event which is recorded in their memory and by observation and repetition
becomes a part of their habits. Secondly, they adopt many habits from the society. If they
communicate with well-educated or well-mannered people then they can learn good moral
values and if their neighborhood and society members have some bad qualities it influences
them negatively.

Similarly, children have parents who teach them and prepare them for life. Parents have the
first and strongest influence on their children. Children observe their way of doing the
things. People who are smokers or alcoholics must know that children watch their activity
and they are leaving bad impression on the children's mind. Sometimes these activities have
a deep impact on young children's brain and heart. They learn their first lessons from these
situations because it's the parents that guide them about these situations. The group plays a
major role in shaping an individual. As it is often said "A man is known by the company he
keeps". Bad company has a negative influence over a child. This is because the teenagers
listen more to their friends than their parents and teachers. The group can turn denial into
acceptance and gives the children sense of fulfillment in life. Children enjoy playing with
friends more than anything in life; there are times when they want to stay with their friends
more than their parents. Learning from friends is kind of magnetic and it has creative force
in it. They open heart out with their friends and see a gleam of pleasure in their eyes. They
believe in them and in a way they are their spiritual guides. Friends and peer group are a
kind of sheltering tree for children so whatever they say turns a meal into a feast and a house
into a home. We all have at times bent over backwards to please a friend be it a colleague at
workplace, a friend at college or even a playground buddy at school. Sometimes in pursuit of
pleasing friends and to come in each other's good books they start to covet one another.
There are many instances where a good child was spoiled due to bad social circle.

Along with the children's growth, adults will influence them much more, such as logical
thinking, making decision, cooperation with others, etc.. The behavior of adults can give
children both good and bad influence. Most of the behaviors represent adults' inclination.
For instance, if media report chiefly on the shadow side of the society, children will easily
incline to violence and excessive sex. And behavior is a direct and convincing method to
teach children. Things are easier said than done. Parents always tell children those principles
repeatedly, but most children can not accept it through these boring method. Adults behavior
is the most effective education method to let them observe the whole process of how to deal
with the problems. The children will learn from you naturally. Therefore, they will be
infected with bad mental state. 

In addition to this, we should try to understand their activities regarding their behavior 

Parents should watch them, where they go. What they do, whom they meet and what do they
feel. We should apply on them friendly behavior  however they share their feelings
frequently with us and they won't try to adapt bad habits. There should be a lesson about
moral values in their school curriculum. Teachers should teach them about good ethical and
unethical. Parents and teachers activities play an important role to develop their personality.
They should be more attentive about their activities. However they can't adapt wrong ways
in their life because children are the future of our nation.

In conclusion, we can say that it is true that children learn best by observing
the behavior of adults and they try to copy it. It is the adults who should watch
their behavior and try becoming a good influence and example for the children.
