1. Water Wise
Ashley Aune reported that the Water Wise group is part of the Langley Environment
Partners Society and their office is located in Murrayville.

Some of the programs of the Langley Environmental Partners Society are promoting
and conducting balanced environmental protection and restoration activities in the
Township of Langley including technical support to other community volunteer
groups conducting environmental work, etc.

The projects completed by this group are planting of trees along the shores of our
streams, stream mapping, habitat restoration projects, etc.

The Water-Wise program aims to educate Township residents about the importance
of groundwater resources and the need to protect them. It also provides residents
with practical information about what they can do to protect the quality and quantity
of our local drinking water supply. The door-to-door outreach program informs
residents of the importance of local groundwater resources and provides practical
information on how to protect their drinking water supply.

The Langley Environmental Partners Society has a lot of programs for the youth to
get involved in and if any one is interested in participating to contact A. Aune after
the meeting.
