CASE STUDY NIAS ISLAND SETTLEMENT, INDONESIA
Semi-detached row housing. CENTRAL SPACE one huge central community space LAYERING Various layers or transition from public to private LIGHT Light enters through the cut out in the roof and the windows provided at the two sides of the house VENTILATION Tall thatch roofs , small openings, buildings elevated from the ground to counter high humidity conditions
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:
45 3 Bedroom houses Parking:1.25 car 30 2 Bedroom houses Parking: 1 car 30% of Site area for pathways , roads. 300-400 sq m area for community spaces.
ELEVATION
Site located 20 km from Bangalore on the Mysore road National Highway, bordered by a Drain on two sides a highway along its length and Industrial area on the other edge.
Transition from public to private and enclosed to open spaces according to the hierarchies in an Indian home.

To design a centre for information on all aspects of the built environment in Bangalore. The centre is set in an urban context of the city

EXISTING TEMPLE
mainly a documentation centre for the built environments the program also enlisted a gallery, an auditorium, seminar halls, research and development centres, a caf, library, workshops, OAT, and a gift shop.
