in recording audio.
3. Start a literature search on electromagnetic induction’s role in
recording technology.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
Topic: Electricity and Magnetism
Reference: Grade 10 Teaching guide (Dep. Ed)
Instructional materials:

III. PROCEDURE

Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity

a. Preliminaries
 Greetings/Classroom arrangement.
Good morning class!
Let us pray. -Good morning teacher.
Everybody Stand up.
Ana, can you please lead the prayer? -yes teacher.

-In the name of the father and

of the son, and the holy
spirit…amen.

 Before you seat can you please pick up the pieces of dirt that you
can see and put in the trash bin. -student will pick up the
pieces of trash.
You may take your seat.

 Attendance. Thank you teacher.

Ok class may I check your attendance, if I called your name say present.

Teacher called the names.

-yes teacher.
Review

Ok class, what our topic last meeting? Yes Diego.

Ok thank you, who can --Split and separate

recall about split and separate? Yes Joy.

Ok Joy thank you, very well said.

-student answer.
Presentation of the topic
Pre – activity

Ok class, before we start with our new topic ,I want you to have a group
activity.
The class will be divided into two. You have to choose your group leader
that will present your work later.
Each group will be given an activity kit and I will only give you 5
minutes to do this.
I will be posting the rubrics on how we will grade your output.
So, here are the rubrics.

Rubrics percentage Rating

*correctness 60%
*time 20%
*Team work 20%
total 100%

So here is the direction.

There is a picture of a radio broadcast studio that you will identify the
different equipment and check the equipment device whether needs
electricity or magnetism to operate.

-student will answer the pre-

activity and will be present
later.
Equipment Needs Needs
Device Electricity magnetism
-student answered varies.

-Group leader presented the

output.

Group presentation and checking of output.

Teacher checked the activity using the rubrics.

Good job students!

You will have an additional points from me.

Analysis 3 devices teacher.

Ok, based on your answers let us talk about it.
1. How many devices you identified in the picture of the radio
broadcast studio room need electricity to operate?

2. How many devices you identified in the picture of the radio
broadcast studio room need magnetism to operate ?

3. Let’s talk about the other devices that shown in the picture.
Equipment you’ll find in a Radio Station

EQUIPMENT(CONTR Needs electricity /magnetism explanation

OL
ROOM/Announcer’s
Booth)
Audio Console / A common equipment of any
studio or radio station is the
audio console(sometimes called a
radio panel, soundpanel,or sound
desk.
This is what the radio announcer
(or panel operator)uses to control
what is heard on air.Every
channel represents one or a
single”input”.
Microphone / A microphone senses and
captures sounds from the studio
and transforms it into electrical
impulses. The Microphones used
in broadcasting in radio stations
are designed slightly different to
public address
microphones ,since issues such
as feedback isn’t an issue in a
studio.
Microphone Arm Radio stations microphones are
often mounted on a special
arm9long pieces of metal) that
keeps the microphone at the right
height. These arms often extend
equipment to allow space for
other equipment.
Microphone Pcocessor / Some radio stations or studios
use a dedicated microphone
audio processor for each
microphone.This ensures that the
levels are consistent, and helps
make the sound better.
Play out and / A play out system is the
automation software computer system that plays the
music, spots and sweepers.These
are specifically designed
computer programs that allow for
continues playback of audio,that
allows the Announcers and
Programme Directors a lot of
granular control.
Level Meters / To ensure the output of radio
station is consistent,studios
contain different Level Meters.
These allow the announcer or
panel operator to see if their
audio is too loud or too low. Most
of the time.you’ll have multiple
meters showing the different
levels.
Studio Monitor / Studio Monitor Speakers are
Speakers devices that provide an easy way
to hear what’s going to air
without headphones. Most of the
time, these are very high quality
speakers so any abnormalities in
sound quality can be heard.
Cue Speakers / A separate speaker is often
provided for the announcer so
they can hear all audio that isn’t
going to air. By having a separate
speaker for this, the radio
announcers can be certain their
preview audio isn’t going to ai.
Headphones / Studio speakers are automatically
turned off whenever a
microphone is activated. Due to
this, anyone in a studio needs
headphones to hear what is going
to air.
Talent Panel / While the main announcer andor
pane operator can control
everything through the studio’s
audio consoles,some guests
might need their own or
individual control for headphone
levels. This could include a
cough mute and mic on/off
controls. These panels are
generally mounted in front of
each guest’s microphone.
On Air Light / You might wonder, how do you
know a mic in the studio is live?
There is a device usually a light,
especially made for that! This
light is turned on/off
automatically by the audio
console whenever a microphone
channel is on. Usually you’d
have at least one on air light
inside the studio, and another one
outside.
Button Panel / There are times when you need
to control the settings that are not
available from the audio console
itself.
This is the reason why many
audio consoles can have at least
one row of configurable buttons.
These buttons or panels can be
physically wired to other
equipment, or configured via a
software.
Phone talkback / If your radio program or
System announcer has to take a lot of
calls on air, they are going to
need a phone talkback/talkshow
system. This is a software
program or physical controller
shows you every call coming in
on each line.
Intercom / Sometimes the announcer or
panel operators need to
communicate easily between
studios. To do this, an intercom
system is used. Some audio
consoles will have the intercom
built-in to the talkback system or
the phone system.
CD Players, DAT / While most recorded audio are
Machines, Mini Disc played off a computer, it’s not
Players, & Turn uncommon to find playback
Tables devices like CD players in a
studio. The playback of these
devices is usually activated
directly from a button on the
announcer’s audio console.
Do you have any questions?

Abstraction
Class what our lesson for today ?
Ok very good.

Can you give me an equipment that need electricity to operate?

And what are the equipment needs magnetism?

Ok class ,it seems that you understand our lesson for today.
