The learner independently demonstrates the common competencies in electrical


installation and maintenance as prescribed by TESDA Training Regulations.

At the end of the lesson, 80% of the learners shall be able to:

 Select appropriate electrical tools, equipment and materials for specific tasks.

 Apply suitable wiring method for the job.

 Install basic electrical wiring Circuit with one bulb controlled by single pole switch
with convenience outlet.

3. PRESENTATION

 Today we are going to discuss about


installing electrical circuit with one bulb
controlled by two three-way switch with
convenience outlet.
 The students listen carefully
TERMINOLOGIES

1. Panel Board - The circuit branching such


us the lighting circuit and the power circuit
enclosed in the same cabinet.

2. Main Switch –Used to turn off all the


power supply .

3.Electrical Box – This is where the outlets are


mounted.

4.Convenience Outlet – This is where you


connect the appliances at home.

5.Termination – Connecting the wires to the


circuit breaker.
6.Installation – The process of laying,
mounting electrical boxes, connecting wires and
switches

7.Switch – The device that control the flow of


current to the load

8.Lamp – A glass bulb or tubes that emits light


by means of electricity

9.Receptacle – A device that hold the lamp


and provide connection

10.Circuit breaker – A switch that automatically


Stop the flow of electricity when over current or
some dangerous problem occurs.

4. DEMONSTRATION:

Lamp, appropriate tools and equipments

3. Lay out and install the wires
4. Install convenience outlet
5. Install the switch
6. Install lighting fixtures
7. Connect the circuit breaker
8. Test the continuity
9. Power the circuit

GROUP ACTIVITY

GENERAL INSTRUCTION:
 The class is divided into three groups each
group will present different activity: The student prepare for the presentation

Group 1 – identifying the tools,


equipments, and materials used in
installing the electrical circuit.

Group 2 – State the function of the


materials used in installing the electrical
circuit.

Group 3 – Select representative to connect


the electrical circuit controlled by two
three-way switch with convenience outlet
 The group presentation will be based on
the previously established scoring rubric.
