Ah, you have managed to express the feelings that a very large percentage of us "un-american-americans" feel, more so as the days go by. When we invaded Iraq, it seems decades ago though only years, I immediately saw the tie between our actions and those of Athens, post-Delian league, when Pericles decided that his beloved state was better off conqueror of Greece than Friend.
