Finding SIS on your computer
Entering username and password
Setting up and using the grade book function
Transmitting grades at term
Viewing student schedules
II.Basic Computer Skillsa.
Review basic terms (i.e. CPU, Monitor, Hardware, Software, etc.)
Discuss proper shutdown procedures
Explore the desktop and icons used most often
Saving documents (My Documents, network drive, flash drive, &CD)
Using Mozilla Firefox (Search engines, keyword choices, etc.)
Basic troubleshooting & maintenance tips
What is a document?
Formatting text (fonts, size, color, etc.)
Using bullets and numbering
Participants will create a document given a handout and step-by-step instructions. The handout will allow space for note taking.
Discuss various ways to use Word in the classroom and links toWebsites for lesson plans.

Cells, rows, columns
