SYNOPSIS This course deals with mechanics of rigid bodies in static as well as in dynamic conditions. Statics deals with bodies at rest while dynamics deals with bodies in motion. Course includes mechanics of particles and rigid bodies, section properties, translation and angular motion, energy and momentum principles and vibration. Course Outcomes 1. Apply the fundamental concepts and principles of mechanics 2. Analyze various statics and dynamics problems including three dimensional problems
