Dear Erika,

Many great candidates have stepped up to fill the void being left by retiring State Representative Michael Paymar. My choice is Matt Freeman.

The reason is simple - Matt is the best candidate to take on the big challenges facing our state. He is smart, energetic and has the right type of experience. If we elect Matt, we'll have a proven leader that is passionate about serving our community and able to deliver on the progressive agenda we need.

Winning on that progressive agenda won't be easy. Whether it is passing sensible gun laws to make our communities safe, making needed investments in our schools, or raising the minimum wage to a livable wage, we know accomplishing extraordinary things will require

more than an ordinary effort - and that's why we need Matt.

We know Matt can accomplish these things because he has the right type of experience. He has worked at all levels of government for great leaders like Senator Amy Klobuchar and Mayor Chris Coleman. Matt has been active in DFL politics all his life, leading the charge for progressive candidates and causes across the state proving he can organize and connect with people.

While Governor Dayton and the DFL legislature have made progress - we know more work needs to be done. We cannot rest or stop moving forward - because too much is at stake. Our future depends on us electing leaders like Matt that will win on a progressive agenda and make Saint Paul stronger.

Matt will bring the energy and vitality of our district to the State Capitol and breathe life into our progressive agenda. Please join me in supporting Matt Freeman.
