Modern Block of the Month Introduction

We will explore Modern Quilting through a Block of the Month program. Each month will introduce a new block and require the use of Modern techniques. In Month One, you must use at least one Modern Quilting element; in Month Two, you must use two Modern Quilting elements, and so on. STRETCH YOUR BOUNDARIES! Bring your Modern block(s) back the following month for a special Show and Tell and prize drawing! At the end of the year, we will demonstrate how to set your blocks into negative space and hold a workshop to piece our quilt tops together.

Modern Quilting Elements: Solid Color Graphic prints Bold, graphic designs Asymmetry Fabric Placement Scale Distorted block Wonky Negative Space Repurposed fabrics (old clothing, etc.)
