Food bank fortnight 28 April to 12 May 2014

PCS BWAC is holding a food bank fortnight campaign to collect food items for Storehouse Food bank, Newcastle. 1 in people li!e in po!ert" in the #$. %an" families hit crisis and cannot afford food. &ising cost of li!ing, static incomes, changes to and dela"s in benefit pa"ments, underemplo"ment and unemplo"ment ha!e meant increasing numbers of people ha!e hit a crisis that forces them to go hungr". 'CS members on this site generousl" ga!e donations to the food bank at Christmas. Both the branch and Storehouse were o!erwhelmed b" "our support. (our kindness went towards helping Storehouse to pro!ide help to o!er )1* adults and +1+ children, pro!iding in e,cess of +-,. * meals plus snacks drinks and h"giene items and pro!ide maternit" packs for ladies going in to hospital to ha!e a bab" who ma" ha!e little or nothing. We are asking "ou to make a difference b" supporting our food bank fortnight campaign.
