NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 31st December, 2013
G.S.R. 01(E).In partial modification of Notification dated 16-09-2013 and in exercise of the
powers conferred by Clause (8) of Section 3 and Section 4 of the Indian Ports Act, 1908 (15 of 1908), the
Central Government hereby declares that the Dugarajapatnam Port shall be a Major Port and that the extent
of the limits of the said Port shall be as follows, namely :
NORTH :
A line joining from a point of 14 0712 N, 80 0751 E towards North-East Point of 14
0859.7 N, 80 2013 E
SOUTH :
A line joining from a point of 13 5633 N, 80 1121 E towards East point of 13 5632
N, 80 2148 E
EAST :
A line joining from a point of 14 0859.7 N, 80 2036 E towards West point of 14
0859.7 N, 80 2013 E and South towards 13 5632 N, 80 2211 E
WEST :
A line joining from a point of 13 5632 N, 80 2211 E towards North point of 14
0859.7 N, 80 2036 E and towards West point of 13 5633 N, 80 1121 E
Note :The shore is intended to mean high watermark as defined in sub-section (4) of Section 4 of
the Indian Ports Act, 1908, i.e., the highest point reached by ordinary spring tides at any
season of the year.
