Letter from the President of LIV Communities

To our valued customers,

A severe weather incident took place on Wednesday, March 16th, 2016 between the hours of
5 and UPCOMING
6 pm in the Brampton area.
As reported by multiple sources, the abnormally intense winds hit a small area, including the
neighbourhood in which LIV Communities is building new homes.
Considerable damage was inflicted to three LIV homes that were under construction, due to the
intensity of the storm. A number of other builders homes in the neighbourhood suffered a similar
fate, with equally devastating results. Most importantly, we are thankful that nobody was injured
due to this incident.
LIV Communities wants to assure our customers that every home we build exceeds OBC (Ontario
Building Code) standards. The homes had passed every inspection to that point, and everything had
been built better than code, in accordance with the builders commitment to its Better than Code
program. Unfortunately, the unpredictability of nature makes a situation like this impossible to prevent.
We are currently working with a team of experts in order to evaluate and assess the extent of the
damage and determine the best strategy in order to attend to the remediation process efficiently
and effectively.
LIV Communities has spoken with the respective families that have been affected by this incident.
Due to the unique set of circumstances, LIV Communities has made a commitment to work with the
families in order to meet and exceed their expectations. We are going to ensure that these three
homes are completed with the same care and quality as every new home we build. LIV strives to
ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction in every situation.
