to create these bronze sculptures of their boys. The youngest, Clay
is the most active of the Eichler boys. WIth his insatiable curiosity
and enless energy Clay is always exploring.

Thinker think is that he thinks
not only with his brain,
with his knitted brow,
his distended nostrils and compressed lips,
but with every muscle of his arms, back and
legs, with his clenched fist and gripping toes.
" The Thinker was originally conceived as the
central figure for the monumental "Gates of
Hell," a commission Rodin never completed.
